More Than a Visit
Most visitors watch the Torch Festival. Here, you give your worries to the fire.

The Torch Festival is often watched from a distance. In Weishan, you dress in Bai or Yi costume and enter it fully — browsing the market for a hand-tied torch, sharing a festival feast in a historic building, and processing through old streets. When you cast your torch into the communal bonfire, an ancient ritual becomes personal: your worries burn, and your wishes rise with the sparks.
