More Than a Visit
Most visitors photograph the terraces from a viewpoint. You walk through the system that built them.

Most visitors only see the terraces from a viewing platform. Here, you hike for one to two hours through the "Fourfold System" — mountain forest, village, terraces, and waterways — tracing how water flows from the peaks down to the paddies and back. Every step reveals the agricultural logic that has sustained Hani life for 1,300 years.
